Exclamation

The coupon on Handspring's website for the VDX $50 rebate says the offer begins today, 3/2. However, previous posting on this news group showed a coupon with a start date of 3/3. Can we buy the VDX from a brick and mortar retailer today (i.e. staples, best buy) and use the online Handspring rebate? I don't see anything in the language that would disqualify such a purchase. Anyone have any experience buying at brick and mortar stores and then using an official Handspring website rebate? I hope they're not forcing us to buy the VDX from their website.

thanks.

From the looks of the form, you should be able to pick it up at any website/store just so you include the nessecary info w/ the form. My BestBuy ad this morning was advertising the rebate, so I think you can pick it up anywhere.

FYI - I ordered mine from staples online using a $40 off $200 coupon, and after the rebate, its going to be about $169 + tax shipped to me (free shipping over $50), which you might want to consider. I ordered it around noon today, and it said it would be delivered ~3/12 provided my credit card is approved.

staples

Yeah, I thought long and hard about staples vs. best buy, owing to that $40 instant coupon, but went with best buy in the end b/c of their performance protection plan (3 yrs). I know that staples offers a similar plan, but I wanted 3 years of no hassle in case my screen gets scratched and in case I want to upgrade with no (few) questions asked ;-) I was a Palm IIIx user who flirted with the IPAQ dark side, had a horrible experience, and returned to the VDX on Saturday. What a great feeling to be back with the Palm OS, DateBk4, Noah etc. My PDA is actually useful now!
