I purchased WriteRights before turning on my Visor back in December. Messed up two of them by not applying correctly .. however, the third one has been in use since early January.. so that leaves me 9 more to go ..

They recommend changing them once a month, but it seems to me like thats a minimum.. I think my pack will last me atleast two years.

At least two years! I bought my pack back in the spring of '98 for my Palm III and I'm around half way through-- and not because of wear and tear.

A few months after I purchased my Palm III, I had to return/exchange it because of a screen defect. So, WriteRight #2 was applied to the second Palm. #2 was replaced by WR #3 late last year-- so, little over a year's service from the WriteRight.

A 4th WriteRight was placed on my new Visor Deluxe-- but the Visor croaked on me and I'm in the process of exchanging it. WR #5 will be on the new one :-)

Though I agree that WriteRights are a good idea, I had a lousy experience here involving Palmgear:
I ordered the correct ones - as stated in the e-mail confirmation, but they sent the one for Palm V. So I got in touch with them and they told me to send the Palm V pack back and they would immediately send me the Palm III version instead.
This was 2 months ago and I have not heard anything from them ever since.
Any suggestions?
