Unhappy HELP!!! My Prism Squeals Like a Pig!!!

Hello all,

I upgraded (via ebay and universal computers) from a Visor Deluxe to a Prism and just out of the box it squeals loud and strong when it's on. In the cradle and out, with and without my Memplug installed. Can anyone tell me what is causing the noise? Is it something that is serious? Something that can easily be fixed? Should I be returning the device?

Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I have five days from today to decide to return or keep the device. I would prefer to keep it if it's not going to fail on me a week down the road.

Thanks!
Mitch

I had that happening too...when I opened up the case, I found the speaker cords to be almost cut...it had been damaged by a screw or something. When I put the cable in in another way, the squeeking stopped. I did not have any problems since. You might want to return it though since opening it would void the warranty(my warranty already expired some time ago).
Hope you figure something out!
Toby

Thanks Toby,

I'm going to exchange it Monday and hope for one that doesn't have this problem. Otherwise, it's in near perfect condition.

Thanks again!
Mitch
