Angry MiniJam problem

When I insert my MiniJam module into my visor pro, i get an error saying that the MiniJam could not be initialized and to re-insert the module.
I've tried re-inserting it many times, with the same error. I've tried it with no MMCs, both 64mb MMCs, and one MMC.
Please Help! |
thanks

Hi Sprintf...

First thing I would try is a soft reset of the visor itself, both with and without the MJ inserted. That's solved a few probs for me in the past with my MJ.

If that does not work and the MJ is not initializing correctly, then you should most likely get the latest software from innogear.com (under support), and re-flash the MJ, by following the install's steps for the software update.

If that doesn't work, I'd call Innogear and get some tech support, and possibly a replacement.

Also, just in case... do a backup first before flashing the MJ. You never know what can happen.

Good luck!!

Angry

Unfortunately, the Visor won't even start with the minijam in... it gives me the error when the module is inserted, or on start up... then i have to press 'done'... that makes the visor restart... so its just a loop

Update

Well, I contacted tech support at InnoGear. I was basically told to hard reset my visor, it didn't help. I tested the MiniJam in a unit at CompUSA, also failed there. I sent it back yesterday, hopefully I'll get the replacement soon (and hopefully it won't be defective...) It's kinda irritating that I payed $30 shipping for a defective product, but overall InnoGear's customer service/technical support has been speedy.

I'd have to agree with you on this one, Innogears products have their share of problems but from my experience, their tech support has done everything to fix the problem.
