Nexian HandyGPS Pro -- Ubigo available?

I just picked up a Handy GPS pro from Expansys. It seems to work well for what I want. I do have a couple of questions though:

1) I'm supposed to be able to download the ubigo maps and software for free from nexian.com. But that site seems to be down today. Are they out of business or is this just temporary? If they are dead, perhaps some other HandyGPS owner could email me what I'm entitled to?

2) I'd like to be able to track a route for a day while I'm cycling. Is there a way to do this without leaving the Visor on all day? The GPS itself I suppose has no memory, but can apparently be left on while the visor is off. Is there a software application that can turn the Visor on every 2 minutes for a couple of seconds to receive the position from the GPS, log it, then turn the visor back off?
