Unhappy

I just received a Wizcom QuickLink pen and I can NOT get it to beam to either my VDX or my VPR. I have made sure beam receive is ON on the visor. When I select beaming on the pen to beam to the visor, it does not work. It won't work from visor to pen either--can't find a device.

The pen instructions do NOT identify the IR window, but I assume it is on the back next to the PC interface plug.

I've also updated the pen with the latest software at the wizcom site (1.56).

Help! What am I doing wrong?

Thanks, Bob

I have a quicklink and it beems just fine. The IR port is infact the little thing right next to the PC plug, right in the center of the back end.
In order to beam memos or addresses from the pen, select Notes/Address Book, then Beaming, and then select Send Note/Address, choose the note/address you want to beam (if there are more than one), and it should say it is Sending note/Address, with a cancel option.
In order to receive any information from your Visor, you have to "turn on" the IR port on the pen. Before beaming a note/address, go into the appropriate application on the pen, select Beaming, and select Receive Note/Address, and it should say it is Receiving note/address. As soon as it says this, you can start beaming from your Visor.
Hope this helps.
Oh, BTW, their website, incase you don't have it, is http://www.wizcomtech.com/ . One of their sidebar menu items is PDA.
