Unhappy

After only 3 weeks together my poor Visor has joined the ranks of those with a broken screen.

I was carrying a vase of flowers in one hand and a box of Valentine chocolates and my Visor in the other as I entered my house. As luck(bad) would have it my wife wasn't home yet so I went to set the chocolates down on the kitchen table. My Visor slipped from my hand and did a backflip onto our ceramic tile floor. I rushed to its aid, but it was too late. My normally happy Visor now had a fractured look upon its face.

I hope I get a sympathetic CSR when I call Handspring.

With deepest sympathy for loss

I too lost my visor prematurely on Feb 1 and still I wait for replacement. Just a hint, call 888 565 9393 and wait for prompt, then hit 4. While I'm quite sure you won't get much sympathy from CSR, at least it should be toll free!!

Good Luck
Brian

Talking

I spoke with a CSR today that said they would fix my Visor at no cost!

She took all my information and told me to call back tomorrow for an RMA# as their computers are down for upgrades today.

I think it's awesome when a company helps out a customer even when it's not the company's fault. This easily makes up for the lack of tech support I've gotten so far.
Thanks Handspring!

Amazing...nothing short of it. And here we were all saying Handspring's customer service sucks. (I'm guilty of it too.)

Angry

Well, I just talk to a CSR at Handspring tonite, and I swear the woman at the other end was stoned or something. What do you expect from a CSR - they're lucky they're paid $7.50 an hour. Not much better than a burger flipper at McDonald's.

Cool

I had a very big scare today with my Visor. I'm a architect and I was out on a job site today. I went up in a cherry picker and took out my visor to take a quick note. It slipped from my hand and fell 40 feet to the ground. I was sure it had been broken. But if that wasn't enough, a forklift passed under us and ran it right over. I rushed down and went to pick up my broken Visor. But to my surprise, it wasn't even damaged. It worked fine and looked good as new. All I can say is handspring builts a great product!

Just because you had a bad experience do you need to slam an entire profession? I was fomerly a CSR and I find your comments insulting, and incorrect.
