Absolutely. I was a little hesitant at first, but another user here said he did the same thing. I thought maybe he was kidding around, but figured, why not.

I put the SM Card into the MemPlug and used an XActo knife to cut off the top of the card so it fits flush.

Apparently, there is no circuitry in the card at all. Mine certainly has not shown any change.
