Sometime late Friday or early Saturday, I lost my Black Visor Deluxe. Fortunately, I had synced Friday evening, so my data is still accessible; however my $250 investment is probably in someone else's hands by now.

My ritual with it was fairly routine (on my nightstand at night, office desk during the day, pocket otherwise). I believe it fell out of my pocket unnoticed while in public that evening or next morning.

Oh how I should've invested in some sort of carrying case or tether. Hopefully, this will convince any other borderline case ponderers to take the plunge.

Brian.

P.S. If you happen to find it, I'd be estatic!

I feel for you, man, I really do. As forgetful as I am, I knew I'd leave my PDA someplace if I didnt keep mine attached to my person at all times. I keep mine in my belt case unless its in my hand.

DMcH, I hope you have some sort of lock on your backpack. I have had two Palm3's Stolen from me (about a year ago now..). One of them was taken out of my backpack while I was in a stairwell. they just unzipped it and nabbed the whole case (I was using a CD case at that time). the other was at a Wizards of the Coast, I let me friend mess around with it, and they set it down. Never saw it again. Luckily I (my mom) used an American Express Credit card to buy both of them, and they have a replacement policy if anything happens to any merchandise within 90 days, they will replace it, free. I now wear cargo pants, and use the right pocket to hold my Visor (when I'm not at school, I use a custom Franklin covey Case.http://discussion.visorcentral.com/Forum3/HTML/000433.html)

Red face

I had a TI-82 stolen that way from me. I had a special pocket on my backpack for it which I didn't always zip all the way. I stuck it in my back 6th period, and it was gone by 7th. All I can figure is that it was lifted while people were bumping around in the stairwell (it was really crowded). By all means, make sure it's not sticking out :-).

Now I have ThePouch. Anyone trying to lift my Visor would make a loud ripping noise as the velcro came up....

My condolences on the lost Visor. It would kill me to loose mine.

I have a case that doubles as a wallet for me. A devian DVP3.

It is always in my desk drawer (at work), night table (at home) or pants pocket (everywhere else). I wear baggy pants so it fits nicely. Snug pants and it would be an issue.

At least you can go to your local Staples now to buy your replacement.
