Well, I finally received the new stylus for the Edge and after a day of use I think it's ready for a review:

The stylus and one extra pen refill come in the package. The stylus is slightly larger then the original and is considerably lighter then the original stylus. IMHO,I'm not happy with the weight of the new stylus, I really preferred the weighted version that originally came with the Edge. The new stylus attaches with a plastic groove and a plastic notch that holds it in place. One benefit to this is that the stylus doesn't rattle anymore like the metal one did. The drawback to this is that the stylus doesn't clip into the silo as well, it's easily knock out. AS for the the stylus tip doubling as a reset pin, that worked great. As for the the pen function on the stylus, what can I say... it's a pen. The writing head did seem a bit stiff to me but everybody has a different preference for this. Fortunately, the pen is of a uniform size that would be interchangeable with other multi-function pen/stylus. I have 3 other multi-function pen/stylus and the pens refills are all interchangeable.

Bottom line: A good replacement device for someone who really wants a multi-function device that has a pen and stylus in one. It's really nice to have a reset pen available without carrying a paper clip. The big question, "Is it worth $30+.....not in IMHO, Bring the price down to 15+ and it would be worth it.

Pros:
2 good functioning devices in one
On-board reset pin
No more stylus rattle

Cons:
Too light (weight)
Too easy to push out of silo
Doesn't have that "streamline" look in the silo.

Hope this helps

Depends. I don't have to carry a separate pen and paper clip. There were a couple of times where I was w/o a visor for a couple of minutes for lack of means to reset my visor when it crashed - and having a pen on one's person is always good. I'd say part of its worth is dictated by the amount of time spent with the edge vs. the time away from one's desk. I have no desk and my visor in on my person constantly.

It's less style conscious than the stock stylus.
