Question

After I hot sync some of my avant go channels will not open they say," Timed Out- Avantgo closed the connection to this page because it was idle to long"
Does any one know why this happens and how to fix it it is happening on only 3 of my channels

I've had this happen today too. My guess would be there's a lot of syncin' going on with everyone wanting the latest scoop on the election. One AvantGo page had a box to click for technical info, and a message about too much traffic on the site.

I'll try it again and see what I get.

Lightbulb

I had this same problem with Fox News starting a few days ago, but I haven't encountered it with any other channels. Since the three channels you're having trouble with are all from Fox, perhaps the problem is on Fox's side.

I ditched Fox News and added NY Times and USA Today - faster than hunting down the appropriate Fox e-mail contact and composing a message that would probably go unaddressed or replied to with 'Huh? What's AvantGo?' our site is optimized for IE and Netscape.'

I've had the same problem with Fox News and Fox Sports for the last few days too.

Fox

It's Fox news that isn't working for me also. The other error I got was Slate, but it's worked fine the last 2 syncs.
