"Duo-h!"

James is back after a brief hiatus, and he has a few words about the alleged Treo 90.

"I will say that now I know why buying a house is the most stressful thing one will ever do..."

No, building a house is even more stressful. I went through that a year ago after a wildfire rolled into my neighborhood and burned it down.

Treo vs. Duo:

I can't use built-in wireless be it cellular, 802.11, or bluetooth due to security concerns at work. In fact, an add-on module is preferrable because I would be able to remove those before entering a security area. What I have been pining away for is a PrismII in the Visor Deluxe form factor with a screen I can read outside, 16MB, and OS4. Other features such as MP3, thumb wheel, keyboard, and other expansion media would all be icing on the cake, but not necessary. What is necessary for me is a springboard slot. I have a BIG investment in modules that I use all the time. I realize that HS is probably dropping the SB, but I would like to use mine as long as I can.

Lightbulb Helm, come to heading Treo 90

All the Treo models so far are following prime points on a compass; 180 (1/2 circle), 270 (3/4 circle), and now the 90 (1/4 circle).. which prompted the following thought..

If you were going to chart a complete change in course, rather than doing it on the spot, why not do it in small chunks? So, in the transition from the 'organizer' to the 'communicator' we have 90 degree steps. the Treo 90 would be the first logical step, giving us the new form factor of the Treo. The 180 adds in wireless, the 270 adds color.. the 360 adds in ?? ...since it brings us full circle, maybe a springboard adapter.. ?? Hmmmmm..

This has been your daily conspiracy theory. We now return you to your regular complaining, already in session.

Why doesn't Handspring build Bluetooth connectivity into it new products as Compaq has done with the iPaq 3870. Yes, the SD slot in the Treo 90 can take a Bt card, but why not simply provide the chip from the start on the device.

I am responding to James' commentary using a handheld with Bt connected to my home desktop while watching the Weather Channel.

I'm taking geometry and gotta comment on those names:

Is the Treo 180 going backwards?

Will the Treo 360 be going in circles?

What am I supposed the comment about with 90 and 270?

What will be after the 360? 450? Treo Pi?

Can't wait till this school year's over. . .
