TCP/IP USB cradle connection to Win2K Pro PC

Has anyone successfully set up a TCP/IP connection to their PC using the USB cradle? I am trying to get PalmVNC to work with no luck. In fact....I never get any of the cool stuff to work for that matter!
TIA,
-JR

Question

Why would you want to setup TCP/IP using the USB cradle?

Why USB TCP/IP?

1. Trying to use Palm VNC
2. Corporate LAN access.

I don't mean to sound rude or something but if you would want to establish a VNC with your palm would you think it would be more practical to implement this when you are using the palm device as a stand alone unit using a modem/wireless link(802.11,Bluetooth)? It would be much better if you access your corporate LAN through the PC in which the USB cradle is connected wouldn't it?

I actually tried to do this but to no avail i still can't get it to work. I've tried to study the concepts behind USB based networking. It seems to me that we would really need a special driver with that. Haven't tried writing one though. I wonder what others think about this concept.

I don't mean to butt in on your conversation, but I think TCP/IP(PPP) over USB is still a linux only thing, but it does work nicely especially with a USB cable. I believe all the stuff to do PPP over USB under linux is open source, but I believe the key stumbling block for Win2k is that it doesn't possess a sufficiently flexible PPP implementation.
