Why would I close it? Someone would just reopen the issue eventually.

Besides, it's gotten more people to use the Off-Topic section. I've learned all kinds of interesting information this way.

OK, that was a bad comparison. How about "from a confrontation with a flasher"?

How can you list "Protecting the Consumer" as your Main Interest of you VisorCentral User profile?!

From all that I've gathered from your posts, your avocation is bullying smaller competitors who are doing no harm to you, and in no way infringing on your patent?! Using a patent / the law to harass other screen protector resellers only hurts the consumers by raising prices for something that should normally be a commodity. (Warman, how much does it cost you to cut a piece of laminating paper to 4 by 6 inches?!) As a result of your unethical and unprofessional predatory behavior, I as a consumer am forced to pay an extortion like fee to those who compete to offer me the service of cutting plastic sheets to size.

Do the consumer a favor and stop harassing everyone who sells pieces of cut paper with the intent of protecting a *PDA* screen. If you are really doing this just to protect your patent, go to the nearest marina and look at the fish finding displays. Sue them, not the struggling companies who are simply providing people like me with more options.

(Yes - I acknowledge your patent:

* please do not post a reply directing me to a site with information about the piece of paper you filed years before the Palm Pilot was invented.

* please do not reply by stating falsified dates or misleading information claiming that you "invented" cutting plastic before the invention of the Palm Pilot. I have already seen otherwise, and I know to do my research on all your claims and dates.)

Well, I should have been more clear. If you want to impress us with the increase in traffic, you need to show us individual user sessions. "Hits" mean little to nothing in terms of actual visitors to a site. More hits COULD indicate more traffic to your site, or it could mean you put more images on your home page...both would increase the number of 'hits.'

But it really doesn't matter anyways...hey I looked at your site something like 4 or 5 times and I'm still not about to purchase anything from it.

And we here will continue to bad-mouth you, your 'business' practices and your 'product' in the hope that it permanently retires you to locating fish with an electronic device.

Well well well, did I call it? He didn't respond to my question about Concept Kitchen at all! And James, you're right. I wasn't thinking of that.

And InventORB, hits do not mean sales. I'd be curious to know what your sales figures were for those months. Infact, with that many hits, unless you're running off a personal server, at higher numbers of hits, your opperational cost can increase, so that many hits could very well mean lost money. (Also, I'm curious as to how many protectors one gets for the $15 charge, the way your site is set up, it seems that I'd only get one if I ordered... not that I would order concidering how you deal with potential customers!)

LoL! I missed this post since it's identical to so many other posts by InventORB!!!

Inventor, let me make this perfectly clear:

I do not follow Haweye or Ryan's leads, I am a human being, with my own mind, and I make my own decisions. Before I even decided one way or another, I read the entire Thread, and you know what I found? You have not responded nicely to a SINGLE question asked in this forum!!

When I first started to read this thread, I actually though: cool! Another place I can look for screen protectors... and then I read on...
Your posts, ignore any legitimate question, and rarely responding "coherently" (Click Here for a definition of what that means!)

I hope this helps you to understand how I came to my own opinion!

I recall reading a posting by "Molly" (? forget the name) claiming that she was a high-school student and a licensee of Warman...I did a bit of research and here's what I found:

Mr. Warman listed the website www.ScreenProtector.com as HIS OWN. Below is a quote:
----------------------
name: Bill Warman
e-mail: [email protected]
state: AZ
age: 40 - 65
sex: M
interests: Fishing
Date: 5/13/98

Nice site I will link this site if you will link one of mine these sites are http://www.screenprotector.com/newbass.htm or http://www.vsps.com

[from http://www.lurestruly.com/LTOD/guestbook.htm]

The stuff of VSPS about Warman's bass fishing records are true...

The correct address for the website in which Warman claims ownership of www.ScreenProtectors.com is:
http://www.lurestruly.com/LTOD/guestbook.htm
(the original link had .htm] rather than .htm)

Thumbs down

Well, once again Bill Warman is trying to mislead us. Here's a quote off one of the bass fishin' pages:

quote:
To see more bass photos visit http://www.vsps.com There is current information on how to catch these bass.

It would seem to me that much of the traffic to VSPS.com is generated by Bill's drunken fishin' buddies. There are several links on the Bass fishing pages to VSPS.com. Therefore, it's not all screen protector traffic.

Further proof that traffic doesn't mean sales.

If you read the responses again.

You will see that most of my responses have to do with Ryan or Hawkeye. When a third person has quoted Hawkeye or Ryan I will not respond to the third person "coherently". Ryan is a sour grape. Hawkeye is a trouble maker Or like Hawkeye said thanks for making me "Famous".
This is my opinion. All of you have your own opinions. I respect that. I can only hope that you will understand why I will not respond to a person(s), or a question regarding someone that has put a Boycott against my OEMs and Products.

My OEMs are independent people. The thought that they Boycotted anyone that has to do with my Patent is ridiculous. These people put down some of my OEMs.
They do not even know these people. One of my OEMs has a masters degree in Business. Why would anyone support this type of behavior?

For Instance
It was mention that I e-mailed a person telling them to buy the product and see the product for them selves. This is nonsense. I am sure that this e-mail did not come from me.
If one of my OEMs has put this out I'm not aware of it. I have brought this type of behavior to my OEMs attention. The clients that we have are very happy for the most part.
In business you can never please everyone. We will keep on trying.

Thank You for your question.
Inventor

I highly doubt the existence of a Melissa - how can you say it's "ran" by her if you wrote:
Comments
"...Nice (fishing)site I will link this site if you will link one of mine these sites are http://www.screenprotector.com/newbass.htm or <A HREF="http://www.vsps.com"" TARGET=_blank>http://www.vsps.com"</A>
[from ]http://www.lurestruly.com/LTOD/guestbook.htm]

I find it very interesting that you only post replies on this message board regarding either:

1) People who question / challenge / are angered by your patent

2) People who are amazed at the lunacy you display in harassing others who have similar, yet unrelated, products.

Too bad you didn't take the countless opportunities you had to explain your PRODUCT.

Granted you have a patent - I question whether or not &lt;b&gt;you&lt;/b&gt; actually have made something out of it. Spend time improving on your own interests - namely VSPS, and leave others alone. You will just make more enemies than you already have. And then you will really put consumer interests first.

I will NEVER buy from VSPS, or your high school "partner." I am offended by the insensitive and unethical attitudes you displayed throughout this thread.

I am sure you will provide some sort of response (or at least attempt to formulate a sentence that is nearly - coherent - ) because this post is focused on your character. If I had asked you about the benefits of your product (as someone tried back on page 1!) I'm sure you would have just continued to ignore such concerns!

I have no idea what Warman was smoking when he wrote this - Hawkeye was not misleading anyone (none of his postings have been misleading!)

If he had linked to the parody site at:
http://public.surfree.com/apikoros/screen/

there may be some rational arguement that the post was misleading.

Hawkeye is simply spreading the word of your dishonest ways.

Indeed - in business you cannot please everybody. Your company is a classic example of one really cannot please it's audience. I see you have taken that motto to heart.
