I know this is totaly off topic but i thought this would be something interesting that we could take as a chalenge

If there is a possible way for someone to build a serial cable for a mobile phone like a nokia, would it not be possible to just change that cable so insted of a serial end it's an Ir end? then you could simply make an add on like an ericson has. then we could all conect our phones to our visors. even if it's to just to update the phonebook. I know I would love to be able to do this. along with a calendar. but untill bluetooth or something else comes along i'm hoping for this.
