OK, got it. Mine does this as well with VFS. If you have another program (like McPhling) that looks at the files, you'll find it also doesn't recognize stuff in a VFS directory.
It looks as though when Bodizar Benc added VFS functionality, he didn't add it to the beam and info sections of the app. This may have been a design choice for speed and stability. Fortunately, LIII does have a nice workaround (2, actually):
1) Drag and drop.
2) Drag the icon to the "card" gadget. If the icon is stored on the card, you will have three options show up: "Copy to RAM," "Move to RAM," and "Create shortcul". Tap that bottom one, and you will create a tiny mini-app that does nothing but call the one stored on the VFS. Thing is, that mini-app will be recognized by the standard Palm calls (i.e. it will show up in your beam screen).
The shortcut option is also nice b/c it is recognized by the hotsync utility, which is sometimes helpful
I guess I don't mind either of those solutions, but if it's really getting your goat, send an email to the developer, Bodizar Benc. I've heard nothing but good things about him and his work.
