I've read several places (and I think it is mentioned on their site) that the price will be $199. It will be out Q1 next year. The price is right, but I would have to actually try one before I buy. I don't think it has a touch sensitive screen, so your stuck with a little joystick for navigation. It would all depend on the usability and the software. No PalmOS. They mention that apps can be written in Java, but I don't know how they implement them. I doubt they reside on the device because of limited memory. I think the apps somehow reside in the Server, kind of like .NET.

Hmmm...Well, I really would like the Instant Messaging and Email apps. I would think that the software for that would have to be on the device...Dunno about the PIM apps...they COULD have it on a server though. I don't think these devices will replace PalmOS or PPC devices, but morely compliment them as the Blackberry models have, and how pagers compliment cell phones. We'll see...
