Has anyone seen or tried this? Seems you can upgrade from 2M to 8M with a little work. Any comments on it?

Umm congrats on voiding your warrenty. Also if you misplace one of those jumpers or put one in the wrong place you can seriously jank up the chip/mobo.

I say go for it! I took apart my Visor Deluxe already to insert a protective screen. If you are comfortable with taking apart electronics equipment you will be fine. Just be careful, the screen is held to the front part of the case by two plastic notches on either side. you just have to pull on either one and it will pop out. I did it several times without a hitch and my Visor works fine.

If you worry about warranty there are always ways around that.
