Any idea what is going on at Target? A couple weeks ago my local store had a good selection of PDA supplies, and a focus on Visor stuff.

Now, they just have a few Visor items, and those are locked up (try getting someone to help you there!) AND they have the Palm M-100 in the stationary section with some Daytimers and other PDA supplies.

I also found a PDA wallet in the luggage/travel section. The stuff is scattered all over!

On the upside- I got a package of the pen cap styli for $2.24/pk. on clearance.

Ditto here. My Target had a huge PDA selection of cases, writerights, screen cleaner and styli. That was 2 weeks ago. Now, that area is filled with video games. The only thing they have left is a no-name PDA case and the Visor Deluxe. However, I did pick up a Franklin case and 5-pack of styli, both half off.

Housecleaning for new models, perhaps, but the presense of M-100's and some Palm accessories in the stationary dept. makes me wonder if they are cutting off the more expensive PDA's, or the entire Handspring line.

I also notice that there are no more Handspring or Visor components on the website. Sigh.

WalMart's site has a lot of Visor stuff, but our store has zip (so far). Well, I guess I'll have to stick to CompUSA as my main supplier. Not that there is anything wrong with them, but I kinda liked shopping PDA stuff when getting toothpaste!

Two Target stores opened in my area (I live north of Albany, NY) in the past 18 months. (There were none before.) In that time, there have always been Palm accessories in the stationary department.
I've not been to either store in a month or so, so I don't know the current status of supply, but will check when I get a chance this week and report back. In April I noticed a surge of HandSpring related products and accessories in the electronics department.
Both Targets have a Staples nearby, which carries HandSpring, so they may be competing.

The Wal-Marts closer to Albany carry Visors and accessories, but closer to home they do not. I bought a pen stylus and my Fellowes Bumper case in Latham but they're MIA in Saratoga and Queensbury. I think it depends on the customer base or perception (more rural vs. more urban). You could always ask an associate if they would carry them!

If Target has decided to stop selling Visors due to poor sales, that's probably the number one reason! I know that I'll do anything I possibly can to ask a Target[Fry's | CompUSA | Best Buy] employee for help, especially in the electronics department... I usually find them to be disinterested or downright annoyed with you for bothering them. And if it's an item locked in the display case, you usually have to wait about 15 minutes for them to finish with all of the customers in line for the register. The one (and only) time I asked about SpringBoard modules at a Target store carrying Handspring products, the reply was 'Springwhat modules?'

My local Target carried the M100s way before anything Visor. They've never really had a PDAcentric section but just recently I found a bunch of PDA stuff in the clearance isle, makes me think where they had this stuff when it wasn't on clearance?!

Followup

Visited the closer of two Targets today; the end-cap whewre they keep accessories was looking rather barren, but there was still a blue VDx on the display rack, along with a few other handhelds and a choice RCA portable DVD player (now if I had $560 ...)
There were four Visor boxes in the locked case, a lone Stowaway, and a few other things.
The display shelf was behind the electronics service counter and facing some decrepit looking stereos; I guess you'd have to know it was there or else trip over it. (figuratively, of course.)

Stationary dept. had several Palm-related items, including a nice DayTimer "reversible" neoprene case, in various summery colors, shaped for the M100.
