I went to CompUSA and BestBuy over the weekend hoping to find deluxe styli for my IVDx...

Sadly I was wrong in thinking that it had just been a PR oversight. They're not carrying them. (yet, anyway...)

I went to the Best Buy and CompUSA of Princeton, NJ and they didnt carry any Visor styli at all. But they did both have the Handspring Modem....I thought that Handspring wasnt going to sell their modem in stores?

I visited a Best Buy on Tuesday afternoon outside of Charlotte, NC and no luck on the deluxe styli either.

But they had an impressive selection of accessories: 2 cases, serial cradle, 8Mb module, backup module, Tiger Woods module and a couple of third party styli but no luck on what I was looking for... the deluxe HS styli 5 pack.

Anybody else see much of those?

Also, as a comment on what "Handspring wasn't going to sell retail": everyone notice that the 2Mb standard Visor was in EVERY store that had HS products. I'm not surprised that the modem was in there too. But I didn't see on in Charlotte.

I've seen one pack of styli in stores and that was at staples. They seem to get stuff a little sooner then compusa but not as much of it.

Incidentally i noticed that compusa here in richmond is almost out of their visors, just open box items left.

I bought a Deluxe Stylii 5-pack from my local CompUSA. I got the ONLY ONE they had out. I have been back to the same store, and they havn't gotten any more in. I got really lucky coming in the same day they got their shipment.

My situation is even worse! The local Staples (northern Indiana) not only has no stylus, but there are no Accessories period! No Springboard, no nothing!

But there is a brand new Palm display at the end of the Laptop isle, and it's a big one. Don't get me wrong, I'm not accusing Staples of favoring the Palm, but it doesn't do us much good if Staples won't at least TRY to push Handspring's products.

Lightbulb

For those of you who don't want an entire five-pack of stylii (or who want only specific colors), check out the Buy/Sell discussion group... Folks (like me) are selling stylii every once in a while.

I went to my local Staples and didn't find any stylus there. They say they might carry them in June. However I really don't trust salesman that much.
