Well, now that PiDirect will be coming soon, I think all these formats are pretty much equal in terms of running (or pretending to run) apps directly from the memory card.

After reading the posts here, the trade-offs between CF and SM are pretty clear � CF is faster but needs more juice. But I haven't been able to find much on comparisons to SD/MMC.

Anybody have good info on how SD/MMC compares to CF and SM in terms of read/write speed and power usage?
