Question

I was sent a replacement Prism for mine whose hotsync port had come loose.

The screen on the new pilot looked as if it was a crt monitor with the refresh rate set to be too low. When the prism was held still it looked fine, but any movement would make the screen look interlaced. On just a black and white text screen it would look fine, though.

My old prism doesn't do this, and I've seen others that didn't do this either. Does anyone know what is up with this? Have they dropped down the refresh rate of the prism screens?

It's a contrast issue. You can search for similar posts on the topic.

To solve the problem, do this:
- Set your date to Jan 01 1904
- Hold down the power button to bring up the brightness slider (which now functions as contrast)
- Set the slider to about 1/3 of the way (or to your liking)
- Set your date back to normal

You can play around with this setting to find one which works best for your screen. This will solve your problem

Cheers,
Stimp.
