I've got a new computer with Windows 2000 installed. How shoudl I go about re-installing my handspring software for my Visor Deluxe USB without losing any of the settings/data I have on it?

A first time hotsync normally creates a new PC (palm desktop) account and backs up everything that's on your Visor RAM at the time. Best you contact Technical Support with the facts of your upgrade (Hardware and CD verison if applicable, etc.) Do you still have the old computer (palm desktop data?) That is one data 'safety net.'

No Visor should be without a portable memory module (backup module or flash module.)

Since I sync daily, I don't feel the need to portably backup my entire memory. I prefer the flash module for my docs and games, so that I can leave my Internet and wireless apps on the internal Visor memory.

I find it useful I save a copy my addressbook, datebook, todolist, and memopad databases (DBs) on the module to backup this data that's most important to me. Good luck!
