Hi. Does anybody work with memplug and Ultrasoft Money ? After each backup/restore operation UM has all transaction 'unfiled' ! Also AvantGo databases restoring with problems ( like untitled home page , etc). First idea was that PiBackUp is broken. I tried to do the same operation with PiMover ( copy all databases to SM and back) and got the same result. Also I compared pdb files before and after restore and they are different! Also slow directory creating is just nightmare. And it's not depends on my SM because everything is ok then I use it with AverFotoMate reader/writer. So, here is the next question - is it software or hardware problems of memplug ??? If it's hardware problems then I will return it back.

It sounds like you've encountered a problem that afflicts CF adapter and MemPlug users. Databases that are removed from the handheld RAM, put on CF or SM cards, and then restored from those CF or SM cards do not retain all the properties they left with. This happened to my Eyemodule2 databases. Apparently, the databases don't remember they were ever on the Visor and undergo some sort of reinitialization. I think hotsync prevents this from happening. So it's more of a software problem. Yeah, the MemPlug is kind of slow. Maybe the true Springboard CF adapter that's in development is the answer.

does anybody have similar problems with the Handspring backup module and Ultrasoft Money?

I am preparing to ship my computer off and live off of my visor for a month or two and was planning on buying a MemPlug and 8meg Smartmedia, so I could backup (because this option is a lot more versatile than just getting the backup module).

Ultrasoft money will be most critical application, and I have to have that work if I have to restore.

sorry I can't help you MemPlug Support, I don't yet have a MemPlug.

The fact that MemPlug asked in this forum is reassuring and helps me buying one.

So tonight I bought my backup module and it does the trick just fine. no problem with ultrasoft money or anything else... in fact I even backed up and restored with all of my hacks enabled once, and it didn't cause any trouble.
