Using a business card scanner (with Palm devices) on a Mac...?

I have a friend who's a Mac user, has a Palm m505, and wants to hook up a business card scanner. Obviously, the physical connection is easy enough with USB, but is there any Mac software out there to use with it? Everything I've seen is Windows-only.
