URGENT: Memplug Qns: Version & Registration

Hi guys! wanna ask some qns abt the memplug module

Last time i remember reading somewhere that memplug modules have a new version..the newverison having some features that the old did not....and i think they differentiate the new from the old in that the old is not flush with the visor and the new is.

can someone enlighten me on the diff version numbers and wat do they do? And how to check? And with the recent $20 rebates from compusa and staples, are they selling old versions?

Second qn relates to registration, read on this board that lots of folks got problems registering their module in order to get the updated software....is that problem still there?

Thinking of ordering my one from staples, but need to sort out these stuffs first, but yet the stapes offer is closing very soon

THanks!

I am not quite sure how to tell whether you are going to get a new, completely flush module or one of the older ones. I ended up with a flush SM module but an older CF one (not from compusa), but there was nothing I could see short of opening the box to tell which you were getting. As far as registering the module and getting the update, it was not a problem, though. If they had problems previously, they seem to have corrected it. Hope someone else can give you better information.
