I ordered my visor on 12/18 via the web. I have a hold on my credit card for 298.34 from Handspring. There isn't a charge to my account they are just holding this amount of the available credit.

What does this mean? Does handspring do this with every new order is does it mean that my visor is getting ready to ship and if so why don't they just charge my card vs putting a hold of 298.34 of the available credit.

As far as I know, that is the normal way of charging credit cards, so don't worry.
