What is the main difference in practical use terms between the Visor deluxe and the Visor Platinum? Is the extra $50 worth it for the platinum?

I have a VDX and if VPL would have been available at the time I got it, I would have got VPL instead.

Happy Treo 600 user, so far. Thanx Cingular for having an unlocked phone.

Having both devices I would say go with the Platinum also. I have put some of the same apps in both units and have started to come across apps that will not run on the 3.1 os of the dlx but do work on the Platinum's 3.5os just fine. If you play any games with a lot of graphic motion you will appreciate the faster processor. Very easily noticed on pinball where the motion is much for fluid on the faster Platinum. If only a choice of case color? hmmm..... Are you listening Handspring?

You can get the Plat for the same price as the Vdx @ amazon. I just recieved my Plat yesterday and it blows the Vdx away.I would definetly recommend the Plat in a heartbeat.

You cant get the plat for the same price as the DX at amazon. That's crazy logic. The DX is $50 off too!

You can always customize

Even though the Platinum is only available in a respectable metallic paint color, you can always spice it up a little. If you wish to add a little color to it you might consider a Flip-clip ($10, $6 for the clip, $4 for any PalmIII lid which they also sell)--they have a plethora of colors.
