Question

Anyone ever try taking the colored front off of the Visor Deluxe and painting it on the inside, say, with model paint? If so, how'd you do it, and did it work?? (I don't care about my warranty--it's expired.)

If you have a tested method of changing the color of your visor, I'd love to hear it!

Tired of being blue,
N

Thanks!

Lightbulb Hate the color of your Visor?

Ahem... lemme demonstrate this with a "song" I wrote.

Well I'm sick of my Visor,
I can't stand it's color,
So I sold it on eBay,
and got a filthy wad of cash,

Those morons who bid like crazy,
Let us sellers be Lazy,
And pay through the nose,
For whatever they chose,

So just stick it on eBay,
Don't wait, do it Today,
And don't bother with paint,
Because one color this aint,

There are 5 colors
just 5 wonderful colors,
Pick one
Any one
Blue one Orange one Green one,
Then you can enjoy
Your colorful toy.

Brilliancy, isn't it?

This was translated from one of those odd japanese hacking pages. I havent tried it myself:

Palm Dying Ice Visors

assemble the following tools:
- Visor Ice
- dye (generic pack of Rit as pictured)
- metal pot (or 3 liter metal beer keg)
- gas stove
- woolite
- stopwatch
- rubber gloves
- miniature screwdriver
- knife

instructions:
1) boil 1.5 liters of water in pot orkeg. add dye.
2) take your Visor apart. use the screwdriver for the
screws, and use the knife on the places indicated w/arrows
in the photo (b/c the buttons are glued on, you have to
take them off by cutting). wash the separated buttons w/
woolite (this takes off surface dirt).
3) put your Visor frame in the dye liquid, stir w/wooden
chopsticks for 10-20 seconds.
4) fish out the Visor frame and wash under cold running
water.
