Thumboard problems

My dad just got a Thumboard today for his Visor Platinum. He installed the driver, enabled it, then plugged it in. He can turn it on, but when it presses any other button, the VPL tries to Hotsync. Of course, this fails. No buttons work after that. it doesn't type at all. we tried it in memo pad but no typing results. Try t turn it off, it tries to hotsync again.

Any ideas,

Fixed. Apparently you to have Beam Receive on while using the Thumboard.
