Angry

Ok this is pissing me off. Every other time I sync, My Yahoo! channel comes up as guest, instead of my account. So I have to enter my password/login again, send it, sync, and my account comes up again. I had a problem like this with the Weather channel too. I just emailed AvantGo and Yahoo! about the problem, and I hope they respond quickly. Has anybody else had this problem? If so how did you solve it, if you did? This is driving me nuts.

Thanks

Red face

My friend and I both get this from time to time too, I've had Hollywood.com settings blow out 2 times and some financial channel blow out my stock portfolio setting 1 time since I started using Avantgo. When Avantgo send you a reply, I'd appreciate it if you'd take the time to post the response here, as I'm sure the reply will be of interest not only to me but some other Avantgo users. Thanks for reading my post, hope you get a good answer to your problem .

Vertigo: I just thought that it was pretty obvious that clicking on the button that says "Sign Out" would sign you out. Not trying to bite any heads off.

syncro: I'm sorry if that was in fact serious. For all you know I could be some idiot who was clicking on it the whole time and didn't even know it. I know a few people like that. Please accept my apologies.

Neither AvantGo or Yahoo! have emailed me back yet. Guess I gotta just wait :P

I'll post their responses when I recieve them.

Peace

I have had this problem from time to time on the same channels mentioned.

What I usually do is delete the channel from AvantGo on my Visor, perform a hotsync, add the channel back, perform a hotsync, sign-on, then hotsync a final time.

It's a pain, but seems to work.

(I have never taken the time to contact AvantGo).

Bret, I tried that a few times, but it seems to keep happening. Does it happen often for you?

Herkimer thanks for the suggestion. I'll try that. Hopefully it will work!

About once or twice a month. Not always the same site. It seems to happen more with Go.com and Hollywood.com then the other sites.

Please let us know if you hear from AvantGo. I'm sure it is more their issue than the web sites themselves.

I finally got a response from AvantGo. Here it is:

quote:
Thanks for using AvantGo!

Log into your account at https://avantgo.com Delete the Yahoo! channel from your account. Then clear the cache by doing the following: Click on My Account and select settings. Click on Clear Cache and sync your device. Now add the Yahoo! channel back into your account. Sync again. Click on the Yahoo! channel on your device and enter your MyYahoo account information. Click on Submit. Sync again and personalized MyYahoo information should show up. We are aware of some users experiencing login in problems if their My Yahoo username or login has non numerical or alphabetical characters or if there is a mix of upper and lower case letters. We are working with yahoo to resolve these inssues and apologize for any inconvenience this may cause in the interim.

Best regards,
AvantGo Support

It's working so far, I just hope it dosn't happen again.

Peace
