Connecting to server problem?

I have a Visor Platinum and Xircom Springport Modem 56 GlobalACCESS.

I have an .ix.netcom.com, username which is now part of the EARTHLINK family.

The modem works as it does dial in and connect, but when I try to use Eudora, or connect to any web site, the unit just sits there at the 'connecting to server', or 'locating server' point.

Any suggestions?
I have a feeling I'm doing something basic but do not know what to change.
Any help would be grateful.

Thanks,

Cool DID IT

Well, I did it myself.
Instead of Earthlink, I realized that there was a Netcom category on the list of ISPs. Tried that and bingo.
Which is kind of odd since I use Earthlink or Mindspring on my desktop and laptop!!!!

Oh well, we'll try it.
This weekend I'm going to a meeting overnite Fri, so I'm going to take my Visor instead of my Thinkpad to check email.

Thanks for any thoughts.
