Need help with serial data cable

hi,

i posted this sometime back in the newsgroups
but never got a reply, so i thought it might
help if i post it here too.

the problem is this, i need to connect up
my visor edge with my alcatel mobile phone(701).
i have the serial cable for the phone and
a serial cable (modem) for the visor which
i bought from pcables. and the phone works
fine as a modem when i connect to a pc
and the visor works fine with an external
modem too. but both together just doesnt work
and i think this has got to do with the
power source thingy. the phone needs to have
the dtr from the visor but i think the visor
needs it from the phone too.

as i really need to get this up quick, i was
wondering if anyone here can direct me to
a cable that can be used for this purpose.
