Talking MemPlug at CompUSA

CompUSA is giving a $20.00 instant rebate on the MemPlug, both on the website and at the stores. http://www.compusa.com Ordered mine today over the web site because our store was all sold out by 11am

Yeah, I picked one up this morning as well. Awsome deal, playing around with it right now. I also got a 64mb CF card from Best Buy for 30 bux, Sandisk brand, from their 5 hour sale. Save 40 dollars on something I have been planning to buy

What store in Mass did you go to? I was at the Braintree Best Buy at 6:45am (15 minutes before they opened), and the line went around the entire outside of the building! The Store is huge too. I'd guesstimate about 1000-1500 people waiting there.

Needless to say, there weren't any SM or CF cards around by the time I got in there (about 7:15am). I was curious as to which store you went to, and how the lines were there...

I was able to upgrade my cdrw to a 20x Yamaha (I really want a DVDrw), and get a couple of cheapo DVD players for $59 each... But eve that took about 1 1/2 hours to get because of the lines. By then the CompUSA next door had a solid pack of people, and I didn't bother.

Anyway, just curious, and good for you! My fortune wasn't as good at the store I went to.

I live in Braintree, so i went to the braintree one next to compusa. I got there at 7:30 am, waited in line for 50 mins and ran tot e digital camera section. There was a whole rack full of sandisk media, both smartmedia and compactflash. There were more compact flash than smart media. When you walk down the isle it's on your left and looking staight accrss you can see the end of the gaming section.

Yeah, the line to wait was long..it streched all the way to the fence when i go there( near that loading dock). Glad it wasn't that cold, i had my hoody and my trusty prism, which was usless to me as the sun rose . Oh well i had company.

I went to compusa later on that day b/c i didn't want to wait in the crowd. I was able to pick up the cf memplug. There were 4 cf modules and 2 smartmedia modules. I got the cr so theres only 3 now. Not alot of PDA enthusiests around my area.

I don't think there are a lot of PDA people in my area either(most of the stuff stays on the shelfs in stores forever). But computer upgrade stuff gets sold. I just can't figure out to who. I know that there are like only 8 (maybe less) people in my town including myself who are competent enough to even go inside a computer. So I just can't figure out where all those people trying to get those GeForce3 cards from Best Buy came from.
