Question 16-Bit Color

I see the screens are in color. Is it 16 bit color for us Visor Prism users or just 256 colors?

Thanks,
Scott

Question minstrel S & Blazer performance?

timbob,
I'm considering that new Minstrel S wirless for my visor and the unlimited service. How is the overall performance with the Blazer and others?
Anyway to give me an idea about general surfing performance and what I should expect? So many sites now are dependent on graphics, is it hard to get around on those pages?

TIA,
I want EVERYTHING!!! AHAHAHAHA

excuse me,
Russell

Blazer w/ Prism/Thinmodem or Wireless only?

I also attempted to run it on my Prism with the Thinmodem. Doesn't appear to work. Haven't tried to delete it yet. Apparently Blazer is just for wireless connections?

I am using the Thinmodem. Took a lot of time and trouble to delete the application, and restore everything from Backup module. I tried a completely fresh download and setup - same crash happened again. Now it is totally off my system, and I won't try it again. Anyone else have trouble using Blazer with a Prism and Thinmodem?

Hmmm...I have a Thinmodem and a Prism and I've used Blazer on them with no problems. Have you guys updated the Thinmodem with the latest software? (V1.14)?

Yes, Blazer crashes on the Prism ,with Thincom updated software (version 1.4).
I e-mailed Blazer support, but no response yet.

Re using Blazer with a Thinmodem - it works fine with version 1.4 of the modem software and my Visor Deluxe. The thing that impressed me with Blazer was that it does a decent job of formatting tables. The offline browsing capability in the beta version of the software was equal to or better than other popular browsers, and I understand that this feature will be restored in the "premium" version of the production software. The other nice feature of Blazer is that it can process long URLs. For example, it can retrieve search result pages from http://www.metacrawler.com, which some other PalmOS browsers choke on.

I haven't found any WAP or i-mode / c-HTML content to try browsing yet - any suggestions?

Unhappy Is it me?

I have tried Blazer with both the ThinModem and a mobile phone, and it is sooooooo sloooooooow, and I cannot get it to display any images whatsoever!!!

I'm keeping it for the WAP support, but PalmScape is a much better bet.

Unhappy

I've tried/am trying the Blazer with my Visor Deluxe and my SpringPort 56K GlobalAccess modem from Xircom. It doesn't seem to do anything. Once I've connected to my ISP, it just sits there saying, "Receiving..." and never displays anything. I have turned off images so that's shouldn't be a problem. I can use PalmScape, Browse-It, or ProxiWeb on the same webpages and they show up almost immediately.

Nothing "blazing" about Blazer for me!
