YY deal

Last year I thought it was a good deal with a 1 year contract-- and I took it. YY has been just fine for me so far. (with Prism mind you. Didnt work all that well on an "unoptimized" Deluxe to start with).

On a six month contract I would do it again. My only fear in all of this is that when the next new, big, cool thing hits, I am would be locked in for $40 with YY. But, heck, if you do this deal now you are only locked in until Feb. I doubt the wireless revloution will make too many new leaps in that time. So go for it-- unless you live somewhere where reception sucks.

By the way, the sent me the same deal today too (the one you got). I havent been to the YY portal in several months. I will not be reupping my deal right now. I'll see what the lay of the land looks like when my 12 mos. expires in December.

Compared to Visorphone Solution?

This only caught my eye because up 'til this time, there was no GSM service provider here in Cincinnati, according to Handspring. But, saw a story about Voicestream last night on the late news, saying they will start offering GSM service on September 10th. By that time we may know what Handspring is up to (LOL with fingers crossed), and this YY deal can be evaluated in a different light.

Whaddya think?
