edge vs. pro

My visor deluxe just bought the farm after 3 years of continuous use. (i.e. using a full set of batteries up every day)

I have been happy with handspring, and I'm not really a power user--mostly i use my pda for scheduling, contacts, writing memos, and perhaps would like to use it in the future for doc editing, etc.

I've been doing some research on whether to get a new handspring or a palm. Everyone is talking about the HS Edge--but not the Pro. I'm wondering why--? Does the pro really suck or something? Realizing that the only 'big' difference on paper is the amount of memory- which is a better unit to buy?

Thanks in advance for helping me out--

The pro is just a Plat or neo with 16meg of ram--

The Edge is slim and light-- Easy to keep in your pocket--

Obviously I prefer the Edge--

If you need the extra unit memory--get the Pro--But it's more expensive--(generally)

The Edge is just fantastic--Had great luck with the five in our office--
