Unhappy

thought i'd see if registered users of marcosoft's quo vadis could get some sort of discount when purchasing the new magellan gps. i figured, hey, since i paid about $69 a few months ago for the software, and since the new gps comes with the software, that i, and other registered users of quo vadis could get some sort of discount when buying the gps.

but no such luck. oh well, i tried...

here is the email i sent and their reply (but not in that order):

Hi,
we understand how you feel but the problem is that these are two separate products and what you really are paying for is the hardware. We do not set the price. We thank you for your ongoing support.

Regards,
--sales

Hi,

I'm very interested in purchasing the Magellan GPS for the Handspring Visor, but I'm a little disheartened by the fact that I paid about $69 for the software a few months ago and new customers can now pay only $149 for both the GPS AND the software. I think it would be a great idea if you offered a discount for registered users of your software since we already have the software and technically, only need the hardware; also, it will encourage faith and loyalty in your customers.

Please consider this option and thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
