System conduit wacked?

I think something wacky has happened with my system conduit. A few weeks ago, my Prism locked up and I had to start from scratch. On my first sync, I changed the System conduit to "Desktop overwrites Handheld". I have since changed it back to the default: "Handheld overwrites Desktop" but now, it always take a long time to sync as it backs up almost every file on my computer nearly every time I sync. Anyone know what might cause this?

You want to set it to "Synchronize." then it will only transfer those files which have changed.
Your current setting means it's copying every file from the Visor to the computer, every time you sync. That's what's taking so long. Since you got your files back on the Visor, you only need to sync the changes.

I am not sure why it would suddenly take so long. The default setting for System is "Handheld overwrites Desktop".

You cannot choose Synchronize with the System Conduit.

Did you make any changes to any of the other conduits?

All the other conduits are set to synchronize. I'm a little baffled myself!

[goes, looks]
oooohkay ... I have no "System" conduit.
Must be one of those little differences between a Mac (myself) and a PC (yours?)

No system conduit here either

I don't have a system conduit either!
I'm running on a PC (win2k). Here's a bunch of config info.
Perhaps, intellisync, backup buddy or install buddy have taken the place of 'system' in my hotsync?

Win2k SP2
HotSync Manager 3.1.2H
Serial connection work, USB home
Faster: "USB/Serial to PC" w/ 230.400 bps, Auto [Trial]
115,200 bps, Auto [Works]
PalmDesktop 4.0.1
Coo!a 2.0.5.0RE
IntelliSync v4.00.00.422.60
(was v3.06.01.422.35)
(Lotus Notes 4.6 calendar, rest to Palm Desktop 3.1)
McAfee VirusScan Wireless
2.0.0 (Scan Engine 4.1.40)
DAT V4.0.4123, 2/21/2001
InstallBuddy 1.54
BackupBuddy 1.43
Backup Buddy config (not listed is not checked):
Archive files deleted on handheld
Skip Avantgo document files
Enable time synchronization
Exclude chagnes to the following from backup (none checked)
Mirroring enabled to networked drive
Virus Scan enabled (but cannot update definitions through my proxy)
