Just and FYI. We found out last night that the glass tops we sell work just fine on the Visor Platinum also. We repaired one last night and it is working great. I know some people on the site do not like having the palm icons on the visor unit. We will have new directions in July that will fix this problem. We are also going to offer a reasonably priced repair service in July. We are trying very hard to add more visor parts to the site. Stay tuned.

Question for gethightech

I've been asking this, and perhaps you can answer. Is the rom board on the plat the same PCB that is on the deluxe?

I was wondering if it would be possible to "retrofit" a plat rom board on a deluxe to give it access to 3.5.2H rom and all of the upgrades that happened.

Also, just got a replacement clip cover from you folks, and was quite impressed with the service. Think I may get spare chassis for a deluxe, as my *purple* one does kinda stand out...

The glass repair for the platinum run $55 plus shipping.

As for the question on swapping boards between the Deluxe to Platinum you can not do it. The board on the platinum is a different one than the VDx.
