Re: Prism vs. Edge
I currently own a prism and several springboard modules. Lately I've been using my Prism more and more outside which has caused a problem due to the prisms screen being damn near invisble in direct sunlight. Also there is the Prism svelte "BRICK" (tm) form factor that we all love so much
With the recent price drops I was able to pick up a Visor Edge for $165 at Staples after the pricematch.
I'm now trying to decide whether to keep the prism as well as the edge. I do still enjoy the prism color screen indoors with many applications especially games.
At this point I'm undecided, but I'm not sorry I picked up the edge.
There are some great deals out there besides the edge for $165 at Staples, I was able to pick up a new still sealed extra USB cradle and backback for the edge for $14.95 total (for both items on Ebay).
Right now the perfect pda may be a wireless visor with the edge form factor and Palm OS 5, an Arm processor, 320x240 Color reflective screen w/collapsable graffiti area with both a handspring expansion backpack and internal SD/ MMC memory expansion and stereo sound
In the interim, I would be satisfied with a 16mb greyscale edge with a hi-res 320x240 screen and collapsible graffiti area. The internal sd/mmc expansion would be a bonus.
What do you think?

Currently own a Prism and with the price drops of the Edge, I am seriously considering making the switch. I like the color screen of the Prism but like the thin form factor of the Edge. I have a good investment on springboard modules (gps, modem, smartmedia card reader, etc) so I feel it necessary to stay with Handspring.
Is it true that Handspring is dropping the Prism? Any word on the fate of the Edge? Any thoughts would be appreciated?
