Used handspring

I recently purchased a used handspring visor. I want to have it sync with my info. How do I remove the previous owner? I tried a hard reboot and un-installed the software but no luck. Any help would be great. When I reset the handspring and try to sync using my profile on the desktop it picks up all the previous owners info and rebuilds the pda to what it was when I recieved it. Helppppppp????????
