I just saw an ad saying that if you open an account with DLJ direct you will receive a free Visor!

Cool!

Thumbs up

I just saw that! Here are the details... you need to go to this link (I hope that this is okay to do here... I'm just trying to help... I don't work for them.):

http://www.dljdirect.com/handspring.htm?OIYHOHSTC

The thing is that you have to open a new account with them and keep $10,000! in the account minimum for 6 months. And it'll arrive in 4 weeks. Ouch!

If I had an extra $10,000 lying around (and IRA accounts do NOT count), I wouldn't be excited about a pseudo-freebie. Well, maybe some of you all do.

(By the way, I'm not sure if it's a Visor or Visor Deluxe.)

Hey, DLJ! Look, I plugged your site... don't you want to send me a free Visor for my trouble?

Since they're showing an orange Visor, it must be Deluxe since that's the only one that comes in colors...

Great observation. Sorry folks about the picture... I just wanted to try the UBB coding. Kinda neat.

Thanks Mark. Anyone out there want to move their brokerage account to DLJ and sell me their Visor Deluxe?

Yay! Looks like I'm gonna get a another Visor soon! hehe

Hey, if its the Deluxe they're giving away...how come it says it has a retail value of $179? Its probably a Solo w/ cradle, but they're showing a deluxe...

Mmmm, I'm not to sure about it being a deluxe...
The pic. says: $179 Value... that would mean a 'regular' Visor...But then again they show a colored Visor, so it must be a deluxe...

Its probably just like when you buy something and on the box it says that the actual product may be different from the one depicted. Like in toys...when you buy Mr. Bobo and on the box he has a lime green jacket but inside he has a forest green one.

Smile

Matt, Mr. Bobo is shipping with a RED jacket. But I ordered one with a BLUE jacket and was told by customer service that there's a 6 week lag time until they ship the Red Mr. Bobo version.

But everyone knows that Bobo's far superior to his crazy half-brother, Mr. Popo. And plus, Bobo has the ability to be upgraded with his tool belt. Some people are saying that they'd rather have Mr. Popo but they're out of their minds. Mr. Bobo is the bomb.

And on top of that, Popo owners are all lemmings. They won't admit the truth that their toy is inferior.

Long live Mr. Bobo!

Talking

You'll have to wait for 7 months with $10,000 in which you can't touch, just to get a regular visor. I wouldn't do it.

Exclamation

You know, if you put $10000 in an account making 4% interest for six months, you could take your interest and buy your own visor, AND lunch.
