sanyo <-> Visor DLX "modem not found" solution

I have VDX and SpintPcs Sanyo 4000 phone. Today I got the PDA cable. When I first connected to sprint QNC, everything is ok. However I couldn't get connection after that. The error message was "modem not found (error 0x1106)". I couldn't figure out the reason for several hours. It seemed that visor couldn't find the modem. when I tried connecting again just now, I pressed button on my cell phone to check my phone. It surprised me that my visor could find the modem and connect to the internet. Maybe to press the button (I pressed navigation keys) tells visor that the modem is still "alive". Then I thought I could accidentally pressed some keys on my phone when I first connected it that make the visor find the modem.

If you have the same problem, you may try this.
Hope the message is helpful.

Power cycle phone

When this happens, simply power cycle the phone (turn it off and then on). This seems to reset the modem settings and then everything works fine. I often get a similar error when switching between my PC to phone and PDA to phone connections.
