Question gMovie Maker? Is Generic Media gone?

Hi,
I've been playing with my memplug/smartmedia alot lately, and decided to start using gMovie. I am able to get the desktop going, but when I try to upgrade to the full version of gMovie Maker 2, following the instructions on the pitech site, it doesn't accept my serial number. The ok button just flashes, then nothing. I tried to go to the generic media site, and it appears to be gone:

Are they out of business? Are there any work-arounds/hacks? Should I move on to Kinoma [sp?]?

thanks!

It is now Kinoma player. I believe Kinoma has purchased the rights to it from G Media.

You will probally have to purchase it from kinoma.com as they dont upgrade if you dont have a seial number .
It is a great player

everything is still the same as it reads files off of gmedia from the memplug

hope this helps

Hi,
Looking at the homepage, it looks like Kinoma has a bunch of ex-GM people, but don't have the license or rights to gMovie player. In any case, the FAQ section specifically says that their movie maker cannot make movies playable by the gMovie player.

I was hoping to keep using gMovie (free and built in with my Memplug), but I'll probably have to go to Fireviewer or something new. I was just hoping to save memory and $$$.

Oh well.
