I actually own a Compaq IPAQ PocketPC but I travel lots and the battery life is abysmal - so I am going to Future Shop the moment they open to buy a platinum.

This is an excellent discussion group site - can you recommend any others

Well, IMO, this is by far the best for discussion. Brighthand, when they're not infighting, does a pretty good job with ppc (and they've got an ok ppc discussion, when they're not ripping each others' heads off!). PalmInfoCenter is good for up-to-the-minute news blurbs. The-Gadgeteer is good for reviews, esp of cases and styli. PalmStation is often good, but also often spotty.
