One word:
Velcro.
If you've seen the TechTV (aka ZDTV) show, "Fresh Gear", you might have noticed the commercial that shows an older Palm unit fastened to a wrist via Velcro.
Orang-Otang (http://www.orangotang.com/), touting itself as "The Wearable Computing Company" has such a product, called Peel-It. You can read Julie's review over at The-Gadgeteer.com, or PalmPower Magazine's review here.
Alternatively, there are some carrying cases with loops on the back that allow you to hold your Visor using your fingertips (if your cast isn't covering your digits). The trick is that you must make sure your Visor is safely attached to the carrying case You might even own such a case. I know RhinoSkin's 1xxx-series and Rhodina's Work-Through Visor case have a loop strap on the back (see this review that has a picture that illustrate this idea).
However, depending on how the cast was set, you might not be able to rotate your arm to easily hold your Visor this way. So-- here's...
Alternative II: This will be a less expensive variation of the Peel-It product. Go to your local hardware or automotive store (or even Radio Shack, for that matter) and purchase velcro strips to stick on the back of your Visor.
Then, go to a large department store that carries wrist watch accessories (K-Mart, Sears-- generally, any store that has a jewerly department will have watch accessories). Find a wrist watch band that is velcro-based. And more importantly, get one that has the velcro fuzz all the way around. You might have to purchase two of the velcro watch bands since one might not be wide enough to safely hold a Visor. There's a gotcha here: Some of the velcro watch bands might not be long enough to encompass your wrist with a cast over it. If that's the case, locate a REI or mountain climbing store and you should be able to find a velcro strap in various lengths.
Medical supply stores will also have such velcro straps. In the worst case scenario, the velcro strips you can buy at hardware/auto/Radio Shack stores also come in various rolls/lenghts and you can fashion a strap from that.
Then, all you need to do is attach the correct velcro side to the back of the Visor that will grip the velcro watch band/strap.
