What about a smart Media or CF springboard or both combined into one? If you could get a module like this for $50 it would be a lot cheaper to upgrade memory, $20 for an 8mb Smart Media card compared to 80 + dollars for the 8mb springboard. I also have another question about smart media cards. I have a Rio 500 mp3 player. Say this module did come out, could I swap the smart media card from Rio to Visor as long as I format the card each time? Thanks.

As long as the Visor, Reader, or whatever reformatted the card when you stuck it in. Doesn't that kind of seem like a hassle though?

What would be cool would be a smart media module that let you copy files in RIO's format into and out of the card, so you could transfer MP3s, beam them to another Visor, etc...

Umm, keep in mind Most MP3's are over 3-4MB. And that would take one HECK of a long time to beam over IR...
