Question

I am a newbie with PDA's.
The visor works great and haven't had any problems other than when I go to hot sync on my home pc. I'm using the USB cradle that came with my visor.
Everytime I go to hot sync and put my visor in the cradle my computer reboots itself. Is this supposed to happen?
I also have to do a soft reset before I hot sync or the connection cannot be made. From what I been able to find out here at this site something isn't right.
Any help and or comments would be appreciated.

Other VC members have brought up the exact same problem. Although there were some discussions about static electricity possibly causing it, I don't remember that a solution was ever determined.

Sorry I couldn't help, but at least you know you're not alone.

Red face

Hey, my computer does the exact same thing! It doesn't always reboot, but I'd say 85% of the time when I put the Visor in the cradle, bam! the computer reboots. And then I have to reset the Visor because HotSyncing won't work. I've now trained myself to shut all programs down before putting the Visor in the cradle to avoid losing anything, but what a pain in the butt. The other thing I've tried is putting the Visor in the cradle before I turn the computer on; HotSyncing usually works, but not always.

If anybody has any fixes for this, let us know. Thanks!
