The Minstrel S doesn't fit in the holster belt clip!

I'd read in a bunch of threads that the holster works with oversized modules, so I ordered one when I bought my Minstrel. But the sides of the holster come up so high that the Visor/Minstrel combination won't slide all the way down. It stops almost an inch above the bottom. It's hard to tell from the pictures, but the same problem might affect the Visorphone.

Anyone know of a belt clip that works with the Minstrel S?

BTW, I also found some incompatibilities with Minstrel S and certain hacks. If you're running Afterburner, it crashes as soon as you plug in the module (not surprising). It also crashes if you try to use Launch Em App Hack. I haven't had any problems with Pop! or Select Hack.

Omnisky & Hacks

I also use Launch 'Em [as well as Handscape at times] with no problems with Omnisky.

However, I do get "double" app entries once in a while. For example, right now, I have two OSMail apps in my Prism. One has a little black square in front of it. Anyone know what that is?

This is normal. The little black box designates that this program is in the module (modem). And since you also have it on the VISOR, you get two icons for the same program.

Omnisky & hacks

Thanks Felipe. This is what I suspected, but what is really weird is that, when I exit Launch 'Em [beta 3.0], and return to the "Palm" applications listing, the "duplicates" are gone. No functionality appears to be affected.

I haven't re-loaded Handscape to see if the duplicate effect occurs with that as well.

Lightbulb

Well, today while shopping with my wife I had plenty of time to play around with the omnisky (minstrel s) and the new belt clip holster for the motorola startac, you know the new holster that holds the phone with the flip up to the front, like the one that comes with the new motorola timeport ,etc ,here is a link to it http://commerce.motorola.com/cgi-bi...p;type=168.well it happens that the minstrel fits almost perfectly on this holster so I can carry it in my belt with my collection of gadgets, , I don't know how important or useful is this piece of info , but I thought some body may use it or not.

is that with the visor?

does the visor fit into the clip with the modem, or is just the modem in there?
